Communis Musculus

Communis Musculus is a dance that celebrates the stamina, strength, and power of the human body while communicating a choreographic message of respect for each dancer’s movement voice. Not only does explosive floorwork meet quick momentum changes, but each dancer receives a space to share and express their voice. Ultimately, these voices combine to create movement sequences built by the dancer’s shared ideas and flows, highlighting the common, yet idiosyncratic, muscularity between them all.
