Cleveland Dance Festival: Kinetic Echoes

On November 23rd, I’ll be dancing in Cleveland Dance Festival 2024 in Show 3 with my work Kinetic Echoes!

As someone who has just graduated college and is now looking to inject themselves into the professional dance world, I’m very thankful to The Movement Project for allowing me to connect with so many Northeast-Ohio-based artists and share my own work.

I’m still working out dancers and rehearsals and revisions, but please come support me and may other talented individuals on the 23rd! The Movement Project's Cleveland Dance Fest is set to return for its 9th season November 22nd - 24th, 2024 at the historic Ariel LaSalle Theater! The 3-day festival will feature master classes by CDF artists and performances featuring Cleveland dance artists, visiting artists and pre-professional artists. As an aside, its crazy to be able to revisit Kinetic Echoes. I first choreographed this work for my thesis concert where it underwent many revisions, becoming a conglomeration of ideas - let me tell you 8 weeks for creative research, production, and the creative process is not enough. Being able to revisit this technology (wearable accelerometers) in the creation of Tonal for Fluence Arts Organization has given me some valuable time to revisit and play with movement and its potential with this technology. I’m finding a newfound joy in creating with my fellow dancers and artists that’s more genuine to my own movement and my own growth as an emerging artist. I’m excited to see what Kinetic Echoes morphs into during this concert - and even more excited to meet all of the artists performing!
