Fluence Arts Organization Modern Dance Concert

I’m super excited to share that I’m taking some of my work on the road!

Kristy Clement, an alumna from Case Western Reserve University, reached out to the graduate students in the dance department and shared her plans to set up a nonprofit dance organization in her hometown of Albion, Michigan. For the first concert, she wanted to invite some of the current graduate students to showcase their work and kick off the “grand opening” per se of Fluence Arts Organization!

With two other graduate students, Claire Christie and Megan Gregory are performing six individual works to create an evening concert to perform over two days in Michigan. Claire is reconstructing her most recent work, 333; Megan is choreographing a duet for the two of us; and I am remounting Kinetic Echoes in a new re-work for three dancers. In addition, the three of us are creating short solos to showcase our personalities and kinetics. We’re crafting our solos to the music of Rob Grant! It’s a great feeling to be back in the studio creating.

Tickets for the performance can be found online and at the door for $10 for our two performances on Friday, August 23rd at 7:00 PM and Saturday, August 24th at 2:00 PM. Both occur at Marshall Opportunity School (225 E Watson St. Albion, MI). Learn more about Fluence Arts online at www.fluencearts.com.
